Community Kitchen

In keeping with its leadership and innovative position as a one-of-its-kind food production facility in the country, The Food Hub also boasts a community kitchen as part of its unique and compelling feature set.

The idea of the community kitchen was first pioneered in the USA where the concept of a timeshare so prevalent in the holiday/vacation market was adapted to fit the needs of the food production market. Hence was born the community kitchen, a shared food production facility that can be leased for a specifc time period to those who wish to access a fully operational food production facility. The Food Hub community kitchen comes fully equipped with the following amenities

Clients of this service include – Roscommon Chocolates, Kyle Foods, Stephen Murray (vegetarian food for sale at Farmers Markets), Eileen Kilkenny (boxty), Savor Foods (sauces) and Maria McCole.  The timeshare production kitchen is an important first step for emerging food companies who use it to test their product and market prior to leasing an incubation unit.
