DOT.Rural is a European cooperation project (2025-2027) co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, designed to support the digital transformation of rural tourism. The project works with tourism SMEs, food and craft businesses, destination organisations, and community actors to strengthen digital skills, online visibility, and cross-regional collaboration. Through a mix of training workshops, online learning, webinars, and real-world pilot actions, DOT.Rural explores how tools such as digital storytelling, social media, data insights, and accessible AI applications can help rural tourism businesses better reach audiences, understand visitors, and promote authentic local experiences. By sharing knowledge and best practices across regions, the project aims to build stronger, more resilient rural tourism ecosystems that reflect local identity while engaging effectively in an increasingly digital tourism landscape.
